ICE 52 is a very modern yacht that stands out for performance , comfort on board and for its high seaworthiness, excellent both for demanding cruises and for participation in regattas and sailing competitions
The design, we are talking about scimitar bow and smile stern derives directly from the very recent ICE 33 racer, launched by the shipyard in June 2014 and already built by the shipyard in 5 specimens, a true star in all the regattas in which it participates.
The avant-garde project is carried out by Felci Yacht Design and the production site is located in the historic premises of Yacht 2000, a structure that has thirty years of experience to its credit and the construction of over 80 prestigious maxi yachts.
On the hydrodynamic level, the water lines and the appendages promise great performance, with impressive results that highlight the ability of the ICE 52 to go upwind at very tight angles and to glide very fast at load speeds thanks to its important maximum beam of 4.65. meters therefore with flat and powerful stern sections.
To ensure these performances are added the high technologies used in the construction and the incredible quality of a craftsmanship of the highest value, the result of technicians who make use of the experience gained over many years of activity dedicated to the construction of numerous boats that have written the history of sailing, not only in Italy.
The numbers are impressive …… 12 tons of weight, therefore 25% less than the category average, almost 140sqm of canvas upwind, about 400sqm of stern sailing, very high safety thanks to the high stability of shape and the very strong weight / keel ratio.
The shell and deck are laminated in a female mold using hybrid glass and carbon fibers in epoxy infusion; the carbon structures are laminated in place under vacuum, becoming one with the hull and deck.
These choices, in addition to containing the weights, give the boat a solidity and sturdiness able to withstand the repeated stresses and heavy loads that are faced even in the most demanding navigations.
The voluminous and comfortable interiors are offered with the possibility to choose between two interior arrangements, as well as a multitude of finishing materials and infinite details.
Another strong point is the versatility linked to the possible keel configurations.
In particular, the choice between a lifting-type lifting keel, which allows the draft to be changed from almost 3.7 meters to 2.3 meters, and a standard version keel, which can vary from 2.30 meters to about 3.2 meters, allows you to adapt ICE 52 to all needs and destinations of use.
These options are also related to the optimization of the weight of the torpedo which is specially sized and manufactured by numerical control.
The fin made of high-performance Weldox steel and the numerically controlled lead torpedo also offer the advantage of reducing the weight of the ballast in percentage terms and therefore of reducing the total displacement of the boat, with the same righting moment.
All this allows you to maintain very high averages in all conditions, both in racing and cruising, under sail or motor, in total safety and comfort.
The specially designed rudder allows for impressive control even when the boat is heeling or subjected to large hydrodynamic loads, confirming the great attention paid to safety, central to both design and construction.
The deck reflects the general lines of the Felci Yacht Design projects, combining simplicity and style, modernity and efficiency, comfort and versatility.
Aft of the wheelhouses there is a large relaxation area, with direct access to the sea through the functional opening stern which acts as a beach and entrance to the garage, where it is possible to stow the tender of important dimensions (2.70 meters without deflating it). .
The cockpit, characterized by large benches and comfortable paramare backrests, is decidedly oversized and allows, in addition to comfortable protected navigation, to give space to a large dining table.
By being able to raise the level of the dinette floor, bringing it closer to that of the cockpit, entry is facilitated and, thanks to the large front side windows, the interaction with the external environment is enhanced, making life on board more pleasant and bright.
The deck equipment, designed to be the best in racing, never interferes with the comfort of the boat, also ensured by impeccable finishes and very bright and particularly welcoming interiors.
The boat is equipped with an electrically furling jib system, positioned below deck, and the dolphin door still carries where to fix the gennaker.
Included in the supply are high quality components that denote the high standard proposed by the shipyard such as the flush deck hatches, the opening transom, the dodger with recess flush with the deckhouse, the locker at the foot of the cockpit to make all of them disappear. the halyards, the dedicated liferaft locker.
